Monroe Capital Adds Industry Veteran as New York Region Group Head

Chicago, IL, May 8, 2012

Monroe Capital LLC, a private investment firm focused on investments in middle-market and lower-middle market companies, today announced Ben Marzouk has joined the firm as Managing Director – New York Region Group Head.

“We are very excited to add Ben to the Monroe Capital team,” said Ted Koenig, President & CEO of Monroe Capital.  “Ben has an accomplished career providing debt solutions to middle-market companies and brings with him wide-ranging risk and portfolio management experience across multiple industries.  Ben will lead the Monroe effort in the New York region and be responsible for originating cash flow and enterprise value based loans in private equity sponsored and non-sponsored transactions.”

Prior to Monroe, Ben originated lower middle-market loan transactions at Praesidian Capital. Before that, Ben was Founder and Partner of Mid-Market Credit Advisors, where he provided strategic and advisory services in capital raising, M&A and restructuring to private equity firms and privately-owned businesses.  Prior to Mid-Market, Ben spent seven years as a Managing Director at The CIT Group, Inc. where he managed private equity client relationships and led a team responsible for originating, structuring, and underwriting senior and junior capital solutions for middle-market companies.  Ben also worked in global debt origination at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and held senior positions at Citigroup, Inc.  Ben began his career at The Manufacturers Hanover Trust Corp. in risk management review and corporate banking.

Ben received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Emory University, and an M.B.A. from Emory’s Goizueta Business School
