Monroe Capital Announces Close on $250 Million Fund Targeted to Middle Market Businesses

Chicago, IL, March 1, 2011

Monroe Capital LLC, a private investment firm focused on investments in middle market and lower middle market companies, today announced the initial closing of its new $250 million fund, Monroe Capital Partners Fund LP.

The latest Monroe Capital fund will provide senior and junior/mezzanine debt and equity co-investments for private equity-sponsored and privately held businesses undergoing recapitalization, refinancing, acquisition and expansion. Investments will be made across a broad range of manufacturing, distribution and service industry segments, as well as woman-and-minority-owned businesses and companies located in underserved communities. Specific targets will include companies with strong management teams generating more than $3 million in annual EBITDA.
Monroe Capital, a firm with more than $700 million of assets under management, has been an active investor in the middle-market over the last seven years having invested more than $1.2 billion in over 260 transactions since 2004.

Limited partners in the new fund consist of a diverse group of leading pension funds, insurance companies, regional and money center banks, fund of funds, family offices and high net worth individuals.
